The Award Programme Foundation

The Award Programme was introduced in India in 1962 and is known as The International Award for Young People, India, aiming to encourage young people and Equip them for Life. Currently, over 325 institutions across India are licensed to run The Award Programme, with more than 1,50,000 young individuals having successfully earned their Awards.

The IAYP is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and a full member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Association. The Award is implemented through Youth Engaging in Society (‘YES’) Centres and Open Award Centres (OAC) primarily consisting of schools and educational institutions. These YES Centres are licensed under an Agreement to implement the Award, contributing to the holistic development of young people in India.
