Participants aged 16–25 who commit to the Gold level engage in five key areas: voluntary service, skill development, physical recreation, adventurous journeys, and a residential project. Participants typically dedicate a minimum of 18 months (78 weeks) to complete the award, or 12 months (52 weeks) if they have completed the Silver Award. Successful achievers earn a globally respected qualification that demonstrates resilience, leadership, and service.
